At Walking Trails of the World we are pleased you placed an order with us or are interested in our products.  We like to keep the part on small print small but clear and in balance with your and our interest.

Walking Trails of the World is based in the Netherlands, in the small town of Wageningen. Also the home of Wageningen University, which is a leading university, focused on the fields of nutrition, health, nature and the living environment. Wageningen is also the place where, on the 5th of May 1945, the surrender of the German troops, occupying the Netherlands, was signed.

Using the details mentioned above, you can contact Walking Trails of the World during regular office hours by calling the phone number, by email or post. Because of one of the activities of the company; making walking guides for long distance walking Trails, for short periods it might not be possible to make contact by telephone. In that case, give your contact details on the answering machine and you will be contacted as soon as possible/within a few days.  

Ordering
After ordering you will receive a confirmation of your order and an invoice. Your are requested to pay the amount mentioned on the invoice to the bank account stated on the invoice.

After receiving your payment, your order will be processed. When in stock, the ordered product will be sent within 1-4 days. When not in stock, your product will be ordered; expect a delivery time of about 2 weeks. Some items need to be made specially for you, so delivery will take longer.

After receiving the confirmation of your order and the invoice, you can still cancel your order by sending an email. Not paying the invoice within 3 weeks is also considered a cancellation of your order.

When the product you ordered is not available, you will be informed about this and your order will be automatically cancelled. As a service, if there are similar products available (for instance a different colour), these will be offered as an alternative.

Colour
Because of differences in colour settings in monitors/printers, the colours of clothing or other products as shown on the website might not fully represent the actual colour.

Size
Available sizes for products are given. Some sizes will be on stock at Walking Trails of the World, some at the importer of the product and some have to be specially ordered. Because sizes are not absolute/handled the same way by each manufacture, for some product an indication is given about the fit of the product. When in doubt about the size most appropriate for you, do not hesitate to contact Walking Trails of the World, we go a long way to supply you with a proper fit.

Return Policy
When receiving the ordered products, please check that it is delivered undamaged and that you received the right product. If the wrong product has been sent to you or the product has been damaged, inform us about this and you will be asked to return the product. The shipping cost will be refunded up to the level of the original postal charges.

After delivery, it can happen that you decide you do not want the product. In this case you must return it to Walking Trails of the World within 14 days after receiving the product. The product must be returned with all the original labelling and the condition of the product must be as originally received, not showing any signs of use. The shipping cost of returning the product is for you. The money you paid for the product, minus the shipping, handling and packing cost will be refunded.

When you want to return a product because you chose the wrong size and you want it replaced with the proper size, the shipping cost for returning will be refunded up to the level of the original shipping cost and the new product will be posted free of charge. This applies for one replacement; if more than one replacement is required for a proper fit, the shipping cost is for you.

Return Policy; Exception to the rule.

Footwear: Footwear can be tried out indoors; this will give a good indication if there is a proper fit between your feet and the footwear. When footwear is used outside, the return policy does no longer apply.

Items specially ordered for your size: these are products that are specially ordered/made for your size and are not in stock or not readily available at the importer. Because there is little change to sell these goods to other customers, Walking Trails of the World is not required to follow the 14 days return rule. However, because Walking Trails is specialised in non-standard sizes, when you return the product, we will return 50% of the purchase price. The shipping cost of returning the product is for you.

This does not apply when you want to return the product because you chose the wrong size and you want it replaced with the proper size. In this case the shipping cost for returning will be refunded up to the level of the original shipping cost and the other size  will be shipped free of charge. This applies for one replacement; if more than one replacement is required for a proper fit, the shipping cost is for you.

Pricing
All prices on the website include tax, handling, packaging and shipping for products delivered in Europe; the price you see on the website is the price you see on your invoice.

Shipping cost outside Europe: for the walking guides and other products that can be delivered to a letterbox, expect an additional € 3, - For larger or heavier products, expect an additional € 10,-

The prices mentioned on the website do not cover additional taxes that are applied locally, or special delivery charges

Privacy Policy
All the information you sent us will only be used for the handling of your order and to keep you informed about Walking Trails. No information about customers will be provided to other organisations. Only when required by law, Walking Trails will provide information about customers to government organisations.

Liability
There is a lot of information on this website on material and on walking in general. This information is based on personal opinions and experiences and not on scientifically proven facts. When deciding on making a trip, what equipment to use on your trip or purchasing equipment, do not base your choice solely on information on this website or in the walking guides. Use other sources of information as well.

Walking Trails of the World does not and cannot take/accept any responsibility or liability for any inconvenience, damage, loss or injury, sustained because of the information given on this website or in the walking guides or the use of material sold on this website.

Jurisdiction
In case of a conflict that has to be settled in court, Dutch law applies.
